Definitions
- Material Customization
- The degree to which program or activity materials are created and/or adapted to serve the customer's needs.
- Off the Shelf
- Ready-made and available materials such as tools, books, psychological instruments, etc., that can be used with minimal customization.
- Designed for the Project
- All the materials are created from scratch and tailored for the activity/program as per the customer's request.
- Material Control
- Ownership of copyrights on the materials, including the content, format and use of tools.
- Copyright-Free
- Most of the public domain materials that are not intellectual property of individuals or companies. It also includes those EDI materials that are put to the service of the client.
- Copyright Owned by the Customer
- Rights on the materials belong to the client, either because they are bought directly from their authors or through EDI, or because those materials belonged to the client in the first place.
- "Replicability"
- EDI's intervention may need to go through several iterations in order to cover the full spectrum of issues/populations the client wants to address.
- One-Time Event
- These interventions happen just once, address specific situations and precise individuals. They need not be repeated over time or with other populations.
- Multiple, Global Reach
- The scale of the client's operations may require the same session to be conducted several times. Similarly, some issues require multi-layered activities for successful implementation. EDI can meet the client?s requirements, whatever the range of their needs.
- Delivery Model
- Refers to implementation of executive programs for different populations or issues addressed.
- EDI Associates' Delivery
- Regardless of geography and level, EDI's professional trainers, networked around the globe, are in charge of conducting the sessions.
- Customer Faculty's Delivery
- Executives of the organization are trained by EDI to conduct the program at a level of competency and quality consistent with all EDI professionals.
- Quality Assurance
- Strategy in place to measure and guarantee quality throughout the life of the program.
- Session-by-Session
- Continuous and comprehensive evaluations at the end of each session or event, measuring the process, content and results.
- Overall Project
- Checkpoints established at different moments throughout the life to the project as yardsticks to measure progress and control quality.
- Program Scope
- Definition of the target population addressed.
- Specified Population Only
- Example: only newly appointed managers.
- Organization-Wide
- All managers at all levels.
- Cognitive Construct
- The design basis for the program or organizational intervention that the customer finds most effective.
- Content-Focused
- Oriented towards the presentation of ideas, models, concepts and the latest research on the subjects covered.
- Action-Learning Driven
- Centered on the analysis of the participants? reality with direct and immediate application to their area of responsibility or the area targeted by the customer.
