New Manager Development Program (NMDP) was a basic program for newly-appointed managers throughout the organization.

NMDP consisted of a one-week intensive training course in managerial skills and tools as they applied to 3 key "Leadership Challenges". A senior executive opened every session. Participants discussed issues with their bosses. After the course, participants were expected to work on their challenges and achieve the goals agreed upon with their managers. A certificate of completion was issued to those participants whose manager considered the goals were attained.

The program was delivered for thee years and was revamped to concentrate on basic aspects of managing people. ‘Managing People’ is the new name of their program; its implementation is ongoing.

Experienced Manager Development Program (EMDP) was the second step in the client’s structured management development curriculum. It followed the logic of, and was built on, the design of NMDP. It was expected that graduates from NMDP would be participants in EMDP after about three years.

Two years later, EMDP was redesigned to create a more focused one-week program called ‘Managing the Organization’ (MTO) for organization managers classified as ‘High Potentials’. MTO continues with the same philosophy as its two predecessors, EMDP and NMDP, and will have a new version to address other levels of managers, including directors who are candidates for vice-president positions.
